Hi, I’m Pallavi. I’m a nature and documentary photographer and paper artist in the Washington, DC area.
I have a background in sustainability and international environmental business, which often required looking for less obvious realities, things we may miss. This perspective has informed my love of photography as well.
With my nature photos, I aim to capture the unique qualities and beauty of what’s around us. With my documentary photos, I’m interested in process and how things are done, so I aim to capture the behind the scenes moments.
With my paper art, I love how something as common as paper can be used as an art medium. I find paper’s versatility and fragility to be challenging, interesting, and fun. These pieces are in the edge quilling and papercutting style, all done by hand, and mounted on eco-friendly paper.
