I am a freelance photographer in the Washington, DC area. I took a fairly unconventional path to get here. My day job is primarily technical and I wanted to pursue photography because it brings out both the technician and the artist in me.
My specialties are sports and music photography. I am intrigued by the similarities between photographing athletes and musicians – especially their intensity, focus and abandon, and the chemistry among team members/band mates. In addition to sports and music, I also do nature and event photography.
